CompositionL-Hist Mont Tablet is used to manage allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, chronic hives (urticaria), and related symptoms including sneezing, a runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy or watery eyes. It provides relief from both seasonal and persistent allergy symptoms.
It contains levocetirizine, an antihistamine that blocks the allergic response, and montelukast, which reduces inflammation in the nose and airways. Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor. It may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
Reducing exposure to allergens such as dust, pollen, and pet hair can help manage symptoms alongside this medicine. Keeping the home well-ventilated and using anti-allergy covers for bedding may also reduce symptom frequency.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or are taking other medicines that cause drowsiness. Tell your doctor promptly if you experience any changes in mood, sleep disturbance, or unusual behaviour, as these have rarely been reported with montelukast.
