Huminsulin 30/70 Cartridge is used to control high blood sugar levels in type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It acts as a substitute for natural insulin, helping the body utilize glucose effectively and preventing complications from elevated blood sugar.

Administer Huminsulin Cartridge as follows:

• This medicine should be used only with Lily insulin delivery devices.
• This medicine should be injected just under the skin (subcutaneously) into your abdominal wall, thigh, buttocks or upper arm.
• Rotate the injection sites within these regions to prevent changes in the fatty tissue under the skin.
• Inject this medicine around 30-45 minutes before your meal.
• Keep a close eye on your blood sugar levels to monitor the effect of the Huminsulin Cartridge.
• Consult your doctor before making any changes in your physical activity or meal patterns that might affect your blood glucose levels.

Huminsulin Cartridge is administered subcutaneously with the help of Lilly insulin delivery devices.

Huminsulin Cartridge is a biphasic isophane insulin injection containing 100 IU of monocomponent human insulin of recombinant DNA origin. It consists of 30% soluble insulin and 70% isophane insulin which works in the body in the following ways:

• Rapid onset of action: The soluble human insulin component in the Huminsulin Cartridge acts quickly, mimicking the body's natural insulin secretion during meal times.
• Long lasting action: The other component, isophane insulin, provides a slower and longer-lasting action that regulates glucose production in the liver between meals and during the night.
• Glucose utilisation: Together, these two components help lower blood sugar levels by enabling cells, particularly muscle and fat cells, to absorb glucose more effectively and inhibiting liver produced glucose. This helps maintain optimal blood sugar levels throughout the day.

• Store Huminsulin Cartridge in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze them.
• Once opened, you can keep the cartridge at room temperature, below 30°C, for up to 28 days.
• Ensure the cartridges are protected from direct heat and sunlight.
• Keep the container in the outer carton.
• Ensure the cartridges are loaded inside the pen.
• After insertion of the cartridge in the pen, the suspension should be used in 28 days.
• Should be discarded if unused after 28 days.
