CompositionHifenac-SP Tablet is used for the short-term relief of acute pain, inflammation and swelling associated with joint and muscle injuries, including back pain and recovery after surgery.
It contains aceclofenac, an NSAID, paracetamol, a pain reliever, and serratiopeptidase, an enzyme that may help reduce swelling. Take this tablet strictly as prescribed and only for the recommended duration, preferably after food, to reduce the risk of stomach upset.
As this medicine contains an anti-inflammatory ingredient, avoid alcohol and other over-the-counter pain relievers unless advised by your doctor. Resting the affected joint or muscle and applying ice where appropriate can also support recovery.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart conditions, or kidney or liver problems. Contact your doctor if you experience severe stomach pain, black stools or signs of an allergic reaction. Evidence that the added enzyme accelerates tissue healing is limited; it should be described only as a possible adjunct for swelling.
