Hifenac-SP Tablet can interact with medications, including:

• Anti-hypertensives such as losartan, enalapril, and metoprolol. This tablet may reduce the effect of anti-hypertensive medications. The concomitant use may further damage kidney function.
• Antidiabetic medications such as metformin, glipizide, and sitagliptin. The concomitant use may show hypoglycaemic and hyperglycaemic effects.
• Diuretics such as furosemide and spironolactone. These medications can increase the risk of nephrotoxicity of this tablet.
• Cardiac glycosides such as digoxin. This tablet can reduce the clearance of this digoxin.
• Cancer medications, such as methotrexate. This tablet may reduce the elimination of methotrexate.
• Anti Progestational steroids or contraceptive medications such as mifepristone. This tablet can reduce the effect of mifepristone.
• Corticosteroids as the concomitant use of this tablet with corticosteroids may increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding.
• Anticoagulants such as warfarin. This tablet may enhance the effects of warfarin. The concomitant may increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding.
• Quinolone antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin. This tablet can increase the risk of convulsions associated with these medications.
• Immunosuppressants such as cyclosporine and tacrolimus. The concomitant use may increase the risk of a decrease in bone marrow and blood cells.
• Cholesterol-lowering medications such as cholestyramine. The absorption of this tablet may be reduced by cholestyramine.
• Other NSAIDs. The concomitant therapy with aspirin or other NSAIDs may increase the frequency of adverse reactions, including the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
