CompositionHappi 20 Tablet is used to treat severe heartburn, acid reflux (gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, GERD), and stomach ulcers. It is also used to prevent ulcers in people taking medicines that can irritate the stomach lining, such as painkillers.
It contains rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes, giving relief that can last up to 24 hours. Take it on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast, and swallow it whole without crushing or chewing. Continue taking it as prescribed, even after your symptoms improve, to let the stomach and food pipe lining heal fully.
Eating smaller, more frequent meals, avoiding spicy, fatty, or acidic foods, limiting tea, coffee, and alcohol, and not lying down right after meals can help ease acid-related symptoms alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have any liver problems before starting. If you need to take this medicine for a long time, your doctor may check your vitamin B12, magnesium, or calcium levels, as long-term use can affect how well your body absorbs these. Report any unexplained weight loss, difficulty swallowing, or black stools to your doctor.
