Glimisave M1 Forte Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Blood sugar control in adults

• Adjunct therapy when diet and exercise are insufficient

• Glycaemic control when single medicines don't work

• Supporting insulin sensitivity in diabetic patients

• Reducing excessive glucose production by the liver

• Enhancing glucose uptake in peripheral tissues

• Comprehensive diabetes management in adults

Follow these instructions while taking Glimisave M1 Forte Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.

• Maintain regular timing for taking this medicine each day.

• Continue taking this medicine for as long as your doctor advises.

Glimisave M1 Forte Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Glimisave M1 Forte Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar:

• Metformin (1000 mg): As a biguanide, metformin primarily reduces glucose production in the liver by suppressing gluconeogenesis, which is the process of making new glucose molecules. It also increases peripheral glucose uptake, particularly in skeletal muscle, and delays glucose absorption from the intestines.

• Glimepiride (1 mg): This component belongs to the sulfonylurea class and works by stimulating the pancreatic beta cells to release more insulin. It helps improve your body's sensitivity to insulin, enhancing glucose uptake and utilisation by peripheral tissues.

Glimisave M1 Forte Tablet 10 must be stored as instructed below to maintain its efficacy:

• Store the tablet at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C.

• Keep the tablet in its original container, protect it from moisture and light.

• Store away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Follow a balanced, low-sugar diet with plenty of fibre-rich foods like whole grains, vegetables, and legumes to help maintain stable blood glucose (sugar) levels throughout the day.

• Engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity (like brisk walking, swimming, or cycling) most days of the week, as regular exercise improves your body's insulin sensitivity and helps control blood sugar.
