Fycompa 4 mg Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation in patients aged 12 years and above who have epilepsy

• Controlling primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in epilepsy patients aged 12 years and older

Here are some instructions while taking Fycompa 4 mg Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet.

• Do not adjust your dosage or stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

• If you forget to take it, do not double up on your next dose; consult your doctor instead.

• Always follow the doctor's advice on how long to take this medicine.

Fycompa 4 mg Tablet is taken orally.

Fycompa 4 mg Tablet contains a single active ingredient, perampanel (4 mg). This active ingredient works in two main ways:

• AMPA Receptor Antagonist: Perampanel acts as a selective, non-competitive antagonist of the AMPA glutamate receptor, which is found on neurons (nerve cells) in the brain. An antagonist is something that blocks or reduces the activity of a part of the body, in this case, the AMPA receptor.
