Aricep 5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of memory problems associated with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease

• Enhancement of awareness in patients with Alzheimer's dementia

• Improvement of the ability to perform daily tasks in patients experiencing Alzheimer related dementia

Here are the general instructions for taking Aricep 5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• It is usually taken once daily, preferably at bedtime.

• It's important that you do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Aricep 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Aricep 5 Tablet contains donepezil (5 mg), which acts on the body as follows:

• Reversible Inhibition of Acetylcholinesterase: Donepezil effectively blocks the action of an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase. This enzyme is responsible for breaking down a chemical messenger called acetylcholine in the brain, which is crucial for memory and thinking processes.

• Enhancement of Acetylcholine Concentration: By hindering the activity of acetylcholinesterase, donepezil boosts the level of acetylcholine in the brain. This, in turn, enhances the transmission of messages between nerve cells, which helps to manage symptoms of Alzheimer's dementia such as memory loss and confusion.

• Store Aricep 5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Keep the container tightly closed to protect it from light and moisture.

• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
