CompositionFORMONIDE 1mg Respules is used for managing asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It combines formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator, with budesonide, a corticosteroid, and works by reducing inflammation and relaxing muscles in the airways.
Budesonide reduces inflammation in the airways, helping to prevent asthma and COPD flare-ups over time, while formoterol relaxes the muscles around the airways to widen them and ease breathing.
Use this respule with a nebuliser machine as your doctor prescribes, breathing in the mist through a mouthpiece or mask, and rinse your mouth with water afterwards to help prevent oral thrush.
Do not stop this medicine on your own, even if you feel well, as it works to control inflammation over time. Keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler available for sudden symptoms.
