It contains glycopyrrolate and formoterol, two long-acting bronchodilators that relax the muscles around the airways to make breathing easier.
Glycopyrrolate blocks receptors that cause the airway muscles to tighten, while formoterol relaxes these muscles directly, together keeping the airways open for extended periods. Use the inhaler as prescribed for regular daily maintenance; it is not intended for a sudden asthma or breathing attack. Continue using it even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly may cause your breathing to worsen.
Avoiding known triggers such as smoke, dust, and strong fumes, following the correct inhalation technique, and attending breathing exercises as advised by your doctor can help you get the most benefit from this medicine.
Before using, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, heart disease, or an irregular heartbeat, or if you are taking other medicines. Tell your doctor if you notice a fast or irregular heartbeat, worsening breathlessness, or chest pain. Use with caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
