Forglyn Respicaps 30

Forglyn Respicaps are used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) like chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The combination of formoterol and glycopyrronium opens airways and reduces breathlessness.

Uses of Forglyn Respicaps 30 are:

• COPD: Opens airways and reduces breathlessness in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
• Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema: Helps manage symptoms of chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

• Inhalation of the capsule contents is required, using the prescribed inhaler device.

• The capsules should not be swallowed but inhaled.

• The specific inhaler supplied with the medicine should be used.

• Rinse your mouth with water after inhalation and spit it out.

Forglyn Respicap is inhaled via inhaler device.

Forglyn Respicap contains two components:

• Formoterol Fumarate (6 mcg): As a LABA, formoterol fumarate triggers a process inside cells that helps relax the muscles around your airways. This process involves an enzyme called adenyl cyclase and leads to wider airways and easier breathing. Formoterol fumarate has a greater affinity for beta2-adrenoceptors than beta1-adrenoceptors, which are different types of receptors in your body.

• Glycopyrrolate (25 mcg): Functioning as a LAMA, glycopyrrolate blocks a substance called acetylcholine from acting on specific receptors known as muscarinic receptors found in your lung muscles. This action leads to a widening of the airways, improving airflow and making it easier for you to breathe. Glycopyrrolate binds particularly well to M3 muscarinic receptors and remains attached for longer periods.

• Keep Forglyn Respicap at a cool room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.

• Avoid exposing the medicine to excessive heat, light, or moisture.

• Store in a dry place, ensuring the container is tightly closed after each use.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use Forglyn Respicap before its expiry date.
