Forenza 325 Tablet 10 comprises two active ingredients:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (200 mg): This component is absorbed from your stomach and intestines and transforms into its active form, cefpodoxime. As a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, cefpodoxime stops bacterial growth by disrupting the final stage of peptidoglycan synthesis in bacterial cell walls. In simpler terms, it weakens the walls of the bacteria, causing the infection.
• Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): It acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor that binds with bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes and prevents them from deactivating cefpodoxime. This added protection allows cefpodoxime to effectively kill susceptible bacteria.

Together, these two components work synergistically to manage bacterial infections more effectively.
