CompositionFOR IC CAPSULE 10 is used to relieve bladder pain and discomfort associated with interstitial cystitis (also known as bladder pain syndrome), a chronic condition affecting the bladder lining.
It contains pentosan polysulphate sodium, which belongs to a group of medicines called bladder protectants. Take it as prescribed, swallowing the capsule whole with water, usually on an empty stomach. Continue taking it for the full duration advised, as benefits may take several weeks or months to appear.
Drinking plenty of water, avoiding bladder irritants such as caffeine, alcohol and spicy food, and keeping a bladder diary can help alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding disorders, liver problems, or eye conditions affecting the retina before starting, and about other medicines you take, especially blood thinners. Report any unusual bleeding, bruising or changes in vision. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before starting.
