About Fondared 2.5 Injection 0.5Ml

Fondared 2.5mg Injection is an anticoagulant used to treat and help prevent blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the leg veins and pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lung arteries).

It contains fondaparinux, a synthetic factor Xa inhibitor. It is given as an injection under the skin, with the dose and duration decided by your doctor. It is also used to lower the risk of blood clots after knee or hip replacement surgery or during prolonged bed rest.

Even after this injection, continue taking any other medicines your doctor has prescribed for your long-term treatment. Avoiding activities with a high risk of injury and moving around when advised by your doctor can help reduce clot risk.

Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, recent surgery, stomach ulcers, low body weight, or kidney disease before starting, and about other medicines you take, especially other blood thinners. Report any unusual bruising, blood in the urine or stools, or prolonged bleeding.
