Fluvir Oral Suspension is an antiviral medicine used to treat and prevent influenza (flu) viral infections, including seasonal flu and swine flu (H1N1).
It contains oseltamivir, an antiviral agent. It is taken by mouth as prescribed, with or without food, using a proper measuring device. To be most effective, treatment should begin within two days of the onset of flu symptoms. Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better quickly.
Staying well-hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and getting adequate bed rest are essential measures to support recovery alongside antiviral treatment.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, chronic respiratory conditions, or any underlying medical conditions. Inform your doctor if you experience unusual behavioural or mood changes during treatment.
