Feburic 120 MG Tablet 10

Feburic 120 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of chronic hyperuricaemia in gout

• Prevention of gout attacks

• Reduction of joint damage from uric acid crystals

• Prevention of uric acid-related inflammation

• Management of severe hyperuricaemia unresponsive to allopurinol

• Prevention of tumor lysis syndrome in cancer patients

• Lowering excessive uric acid in the blood

• Dissolving existing urate crystal deposits

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even if you feel well.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Feburic 120 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Feburic 120 MG Tablet 10 contains febuxostat (120 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Xanthine Oxidase Inhibition: Febuxostat selectively blocks an enzyme called xanthine oxidase, which converts hypoxanthine and xanthine into uric acid in your body.

• Uric Acid Reduction: By inhibiting this enzyme, this medicine effectively lowers the production of uric acid, reducing its levels in your bloodstream.

• Crystal Dissolution: Lower uric acid levels help dissolve existing urate crystals in your joints and prevent the formation of new ones, thereby reducing inflammation and pain.

• Prevention of Gout Flares: By consistently reducing uric acid levels, this medicine helps decrease the frequency and severity of gout attacks over time.

• Store Feburic 120 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture.

• Do not expose medicine to extreme temperatures for extended periods.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Drink plenty of water (at least 8-10 glasses daily) to help lower uric acid levels in your body and reduce the risk of urate crystal formation in your joints.

• Limit foods high in purines, such as red meat, seafood, and alcohol, as these can increase uric acid production and worsen hyperuricemia (high uric acid in blood).
