CompositionFACICARE Cream is used to treat moderate to severe melasma (dark brown patches on the face) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It combines hydroquinone, tretinoin and mometasone to target stubborn pigmentation.
Hydroquinone reduces melanin production, tretinoin speeds up skin cell turnover to fade dark patches and smooth texture, and mometasone, a corticosteroid, helps calm the irritation the other two ingredients can cause.
Apply a thin layer to the affected areas only, as prescribed at night as your doctor advises, and use for the shortest period needed, generally a few weeks, since long-term use of this triple combination is not recommended.
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and limit sun exposure, as treated skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight and pigmentation can worsen without protection. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and tell your doctor if the skin becomes persistently red, thin or more irritated than expected.
