Epsolin ER 300 Tablet is used in adults and children to control and prevent seizures caused by epilepsy, and in certain cases of facial nerve pain and seizures following brain injury.

Uses of Epsolin ER 300 Tablet are:

• Epilepsy: Controls tonic-clonic, complex partial, and simple partial seizures.
• Post-injury Seizure Prevention: Helps prevent seizures following brain surgery or severe head injury.
• Trigeminal Neuralgia: Provides relief from facial nerve pain in trigeminal neuralgia.

Follow these instructions while taking Epsolin ER 300 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet as it is an extended-release formulation.
• You can take this medicine with or without food.
• Take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.
• Never stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next dose.

• Prevention of Seizure Spread: The medicine blocks the spread of seizure activity from one area of the brain to another, helping to contain and stop seizures once they begin.
• Regulation of Calcium Movement: Phenytoin affects calcium channels and calcium-dependent processes within neurons, further contributing to its ability to control excessive electrical activity in the brain.
