Enzyl 160 Tablet 7 is used for the following:

• Treating advanced prostate cancer in men

• Managing prostate cancer unresponsive to hormone therapy

• Controlling cancer that has spread despite treatment

• Treating metastatic prostate cancer

• Managing castration-resistant prostate cancer

• Slowing the progression of advanced prostate cancer

• Reducing tumour growth in patients with prostate cancer

• Inhibiting cancer cell growth in advanced cases

• Providing therapy when surgical options are exhausted

Follow these instructions while taking Enzyl 160 Tablet 7:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for the best results.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your treatment.

Enzyl 160 Tablet 7 is taken orally.

Enzyl 160 Tablet 7 contains enzalutamide (160 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Androgen receptor blockade: Enzalutamide prevents male hormones (androgens) like testosterone from binding to their receptors on prostate cancer cells. This blocks the signals that tell cancer cells to grow and multiply.

• Androgen receptor signalling inhibition: It stops the androgen receptor from moving into the cell nucleus. The nucleus is the control centre of the cell where genetic information is stored, and blocking this movement prevents cancer-promoting signals.

• DNA binding prevention: Enzalutamide stops the androgen receptor from attaching to DNA. This prevents the activation of genes that would otherwise help cancer cells survive and grow.

• Cancer cell death promotion: By blocking these hormone pathways, enzalutamide can cause cancer cells to die naturally through a process called apoptosis, which means programmed cell death.

• Keep Enzyl 160 Tablet 7 in its original container with the cap tightly closed.

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Avoid using after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Consider incorporating bone-strengthening foods rich in calcium and vitamin D (like dairy products, leafy greens, and fish) to help protect against the increased risk of bone fractures associated with advanced prostate cancer.

• Stay physically active with gentle exercises like walking or swimming to help maintain muscle strength and reduce fatigue, which is a common side effect when managing prostate cancer.
