Empaglyn Lm 25/1000 Tablet 10 is used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to help control fasting and after-meal blood sugar levels, along with diet and exercise.

Uses of Empaglyn Lm 25/1000 Tablet 10 are:

• Blood Sugar Control: Helps manage fasting and after-meal blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes.
• Intensified Diabetes Therapy: Used when diet, exercise, and single medicines are not enough to control blood sugar.
• Additional Glucose Management: Helps the body remove excess glucose and regulate glucose-related hormones.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take at the same time each day for best results.

Empaglyn Lm 25/1000 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Empaglyn Lm 25/1000 Tablet 10 contains three active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar:

• Empagliflozin (25 mg): Works by blocking sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) in your kidneys, preventing glucose reabsorption and promoting its excretion through urine, which helps lower blood glucose levels.

• Linagliptin (5 mg): Inhibits an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4), which prevents the breakdown of incretin hormones, resulting in increased insulin release and decreased glucagon secretion after meals when glucose is present.

• Metformin (1000 mg): Decreases glucose production in your liver while improving insulin sensitivity in muscle tissues, enhancing glucose uptake without increasing insulin secretion, and reducing glucose absorption from your intestines.
