EMENORM TABLET 10 is a prescription prokinetic medicine used to manage nausea, vomiting, and severe indigestion. It is also prescribed to treat symptoms of gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
It contains metoclopramide hydrochloride. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain's vomiting center to suppress the urge to vomit, while simultaneously stimulating upper digestive tract motility to accelerate stomach emptying into the intestines.
Take this tablet orally on an empty stomach, usually 30 minutes before meals and at bedtime, exactly as prescribed by your physician.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a history of epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, intestinal bleeding, or obstruction. Do not consume alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can significantly increase drowsiness.
