DYCLOR 6.25 TABLET 10 is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension) and to treat fluid retention (oedema) caused by heart failure, liver cirrhosis and kidney disorders such as nephrotic syndrome. It is also used in diabetes insipidus, a condition causing excessive urination and thirst.
It is a diuretic ("water tablet") that helps the body remove excess salt and water. It is usually taken in the morning to avoid needing to pass urine overnight.
Following any advice on salt and fluids, standing up slowly, and keeping to your monitoring appointments support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems, gout or low potassium before starting, and about other medicines you take. Regular blood tests check your kidneys and body salts. Report marked dizziness, muscle cramps, an irregular heartbeat or passing much less urine.
