Dutamax Tablet 10

Dutamax Tablet is used to manage symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men, including difficulty in starting urination, weak urine stream, frequent or urgent urination, and nighttime urination, thereby improving urinary flow and quality of life.

Here are some instructions to follow while taking Dutamax Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the tablet as this may irritate your mouth and throat.

• Take the medicine at the same time each day for optimal results.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

• Dutamax Tablet can be taken with or without food.

Dutamax Tablet is taken orally.

Dutamax Tablet contains dutasteride (0.5 mg), which affects your body in the following ways:

• Inhibition of 5α-reductase: Dutasteride works by blocking an enzyme called 5α-reductase in your body. This particular enzyme plays a crucial role in converting testosterone into 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that stimulates the development and enlargement of the prostate gland.

• Reduction in Conversion of Testosterone to DHT: By inhibiting 5α-reductase, dutasteride effectively reduces the conversion of testosterone to DHT. This leads to the shrinkage of an enlarged prostate, improved urine flow, and reduced symptoms related to BPH.

1. Store Dutamax Tablet in a cool and dry place, ideally below 30 °C.

2. Keep the medicine out of direct sunlight.

3. Do not expose the tablet to air or moisture.

4. Always keep it out of the sight and reach of children.

5. Make sure you use the medicine before its expiration date.

• If you are taking Dutamax Tablet, aim to maintain a balanced diet. Eating foods rich in zinc, such as oysters, spinach, and pumpkin seeds, may promote prostate health.

• Regular physical activity can improve overall health and may help manage urinary symptoms. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. Remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
