DTM 30 TABLET 10 is used to prevent the chest pain of angina, lower high blood pressure, and manage certain irregular heart rhythms such as atrial fibrillation and a fast rhythm called PSVT, helping to ease the heart's workload and improve blood flow.

Uses of DTM 30 TABLET 10 are:

• Angina: Helps prevent chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.
• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control blood pressure.
• Heart Rhythm: Helps manage certain irregular heart rhythms.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet as it may affect the effectiveness of the medicine.
• Follow the dose and timing as prescribed by your doctor.
• Do not alter or stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

DTM 30 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

DTM 30 TABLET 10 contains Diltiazem (30 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibition of Calcium Ions Influx: Diltiazem inhibits the influx of calcium ions into the cells of your heart and blood vessels during a process known as membrane depolarisation. This process involves a change in electrical charge across the cell membrane.
• Relaxation of Blood Vessels: By reducing calcium entry into the cells, diltiazem causes relaxation of smooth muscles in your blood vessels. This leads to vasodilation, which is technical term for widening of blood vessels.
• Improved Blood Flow: The relaxation and widening of blood vessels result in improved blood flow, specifically to your heart. This helps reduce blood pressure and workload on your heart, further alleviating symptoms of angina.
