Dorsun T Eye Drops is used for the following:

• Managing elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma: This condition causes damage to the optic nerve due to high pressure inside the eye
• Controlling ocular hypertension: This is a situation where the pressure in your eyes – the intraocular pressure (IOP) – is higher than normal levels
• Use as part of combination therapy: Dorsun T Eye Drops are used when other IOP-lowering agents alone are not sufficient

Here's how you should use Dorsun T Eye Drops :

• Make sure your hands are clean before using this medicine.
• Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Hold the dropper above the eye with the tip down and squeeze out a drop.
• Close your eyes for 2 or 3 minutes with your head tipped down, without blinking or squinting.
• If you need to use another eye medicine, wait at least 5 minutes before instilling the next medication.
• Always consult with your doctor for specific advice about your condition and treatment.

Dorsun T Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Dorsun T Eye Drops contains three active ingredients, working in combination to reduce IOP:

• Dorzolamide (2 %): This component is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Its role involves reducing the production of aqueous humour in the ciliary processes of the eye, which ultimately lowers IOP.
• Timolol (0.5 %): Classified as a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent, timolol also decreases the production of aqueous humour, contributing to a reduction in IOP.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01 %): This ingredient serves as a preservative in the medicine, maintaining its integrity and effectiveness.

• Keep your Dorsun T Eye Drops in its original packaging to protect it from light.
• Store at room temperature, away from excessive heat and moisture.
• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children at all times.
• Use the drops before the expiry date mentioned on the bottle.
• Remember to discard the bottle four weeks after opening it.

• If you have open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, try to avoid caffeine. High caffeine intake can increase your eye pressure.
• Regular physical exercise like walking or yoga can help to reduce eye pressure. However, heavy lifting or upside-down yoga postures may raise your eye pressure, so it's best avoided.
