Dorbet Pf Eye Drops 10ml

Dorbet Pf Eye Drops 10ml are used for the following:

• Treatment of elevated eye pressure

• Managing open-angle glaucoma

• Controlling ocular hypertension

• Reducing intraocular pressure

• Preventing optic nerve damage

• Preserving vision in glaucoma patients

• Supporting patients unresponsive to beta-blockers alone

Follow these instructions while using Dorbet Pf Eye Drops 10ml:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before putting in the drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid.

• Hold the bottle above your eye without touching any part of your eye.

• Look upward before squeezing the prescribed drops into your eye.

• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.

• Remove contact lenses before and reinsert 15 minutes after.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination.

Dorbet Pf Eye Drops 10ml are instiled topically.

Dorbet Pf Eye Drops 10ml contain two active ingredients:

• Dorzolamide (2%): This component is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that works by blocking an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase II in the ciliary body of your eye. This action reduces the production of aqueous humour (the clear fluid inside your eye), leading to decreased eye pressure.

• Timolol (0.5%): As a beta-blocker, timolol works by blocking beta receptors in the ciliary body of your eye. This mechanism also decreases the production of aqueous humour, but through a different pathway than dorzolamide. The reduced fluid production further helps lower the pressure inside your eye.

• Store at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Protect the eye drops from direct light.

• Store out of reach of children.

• Do not use the eye drops after the expiry date printed on the label.

• If you have glaucoma, consider including foods rich in vitamins A and C in your diet, such as carrots, citrus fruits, and leafy green vegetables, which may support overall eye health.

• Regular moderate exercise like walking can help reduce intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye), which is beneficial for managing open-angle glaucoma.
