CompositionDolopar M Suspension is a pain relief and fever-lowering medicine for children, used to relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, body ache, ear pain, sore throat and post-vaccination or post-procedure pain. It is a combination medicine containing mefenamic acid (for pain and inflammation) and paracetamol (for pain and fever), and belongs to a class of medicines called analgesics and antipyretics.
This medicine works by blocking the chemical messengers in the body that cause pain, inflammation and fever. Measure the dose with a proper measuring device as prescribed, and give it preferably with food to protect your child's stomach. Do not give any other medicine containing paracetamol at the same time.
Make sure your child rests and drinks plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broths or oral rehydration solutions, while recovering. Keep your child in a comfortable, cool environment.
Before giving this medicine, tell your child's doctor if your child has asthma, stomach ulcers, kidney or liver problems, or any known allergies. Seek medical advice promptly if your child has black stools, vomits blood, or if fever persists or symptoms worsen, and do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration.
