Disofit Lotion 30ml

Disofit Lotion 30ml is used for managing the following conditions:

• Mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in patients aged 3 months and older.
• Seborrheic dermatitis is a common condition causing red, itchy, flaky skin.
• Contact dermatitis is caused by irritation or allergy.
• Psoriasis on the scalp or body.
• Other steroid-responsive dermatoses include a variety of skin conditions that respond well to corticosteroids.

Follow these instructions when applying Disofit Lotion 30ml to your child's skin:

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.
• Apply a thin layer of lotion to the affected areas, rubbing it in gently.
• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
• Do not use a bandage or dressing to cover the area unless advised by your doctor.
• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent spreading any condition to other parts of your child's body or to others.
• Consult your doctor for specific advice on how long you should use this lotion for your child.

Disofit Lotion 30ml is applied topically.

Disofit Lotion 30ml contains desonide (0.05 %), which affects your child's body as follows:

• Induces Lipocortins: Desonide works by inducing proteins called lipocortins in your child's body. Lipocortins help control inflammation in the skin.
• Reduces Inflammation: By inducing lipocortins, desonide effectively reduces inflammation in the skin cells.
• Suppresses Inflammatory Response: The induction of lipocortins results in suppressed inflammatory response hence controlling redness, itching and swelling.
• Mimics Natural Anti-Inflammatory Substances: Desonide acts similarly to natural anti-inflammatory substances present in the body thus aiding in reducing inflammation.

• Keep Disofit Lotion 30ml at a cool room temperature, not exceeding 25°C.
• Avoid exposing it to excessive heat or direct sunlight.
• Store the lotion away from damp areas to prevent moisture absorption.
• Ensure the product is stored where your child cannot reach it.
• Do not freeze.
• Replace the cap tightly closed after use in place.

• Maintain a clean and dust-free environment at home. Dust can irritate your child's skin condition further, so regular cleaning can help manage symptoms associated with conditions like atopic dermatitis or contact dermatitis.
• Ensure your child wears soft, breathable fabrics like cotton. Avoid synthetic materials as they can cause sweating and irritation, exacerbating symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis.
