CompositionDilnip M 25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure. It is a combination antihypertensive medicine containing cilnidipine (a calcium channel blocker) and metoprolol succinate (a beta-blocker).
It is used when both blood vessel control and heart rate control are needed to lower blood pressure. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when you feel well, and do not stop it suddenly.
Reduce salt (pickles, papad, chips, packaged snacks), stay physically active, keep to a healthy weight and limit alcohol to support blood pressure control. Rise slowly from a sitting or lying position to avoid dizziness.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a very slow heart rate, heart, liver or kidney problems, or diabetes, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. If you have diabetes, it can hide the warning signs of low blood sugar. Ask your doctor about pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
