Dermovent 5 Cream 15gm

Dermovent-5 Cream is used for managing the following conditions:

• Tinea infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm

• Superficial skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria and fungi

• Cutaneous candidiasis, a type of yeast infection on the skin, and intertrigo, an inflammation caused by skin-to-skin friction

• Dermatophytosis, is an infection due to Trichophyton, Microsporum, or Epidermophyton species

• Pityriasis versicolor due to Malassezia furfur, a type of yeast that can cause skin discolouration

• Impetigo caused by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria

• Folliculitis and furunculosis, conditions involving inflammation of hair follicles

• Eczematous dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis when complicated by fungal or bacterial infection.

Use Dermovent-5 Cream as suggested below:

• Ensure that the affected skin area is clean and dry before applying the cream.

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area using your fingertips.

• Rub it in gently until it's completely absorbed. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth.

• After applying the cream, wash your hands unless they are being treated.

Dermovent-5 Cream contains five active ingredients that work together to provide effective relief from various skin conditions:

• Clioquinol/Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline (1%): This ingredient disrupts the membranes of microbial cells and hampers DNA synthesis. It has both antibacterial and antifungal properties.

• Clobetasol propionate (0.05%): This is a super-high potency corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, itching, and redness associated with skin infections by binding to intracellular corticosteroid receptors and modulating gene transcription.

• Gentamicin sulfate (0.1%): An aminoglycoside antibiotic, gentamicin sulfate works against many types of bacteria by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through its binding action on 30S ribosomes.

• Ketoconazole (2%): As an imidazole antifungal agent, ketoconazole hinders the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption causes the fungal cells to die.

• Tolnaftate (1%): This synthetic thiocarbamate antifungal interferes with fungal cell wall synthesis and inhibits the enzyme squalene epoxidase, showing specific activity against dermatophytes.

• Keep Dermovent-5 Cream at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.

• Save it from direct heat and moisture.

• Do not store it in the fridge or freezer.

• Always keep the tube tightly closed after use.

• Ensure it is out of reach of children.

• If you have skin infections, maintain good personal hygiene. Wash your body thoroughly with mild soap and clean water regularly to prevent further infection.

• Wear loose, breathable fabrics to avoid irritating the infected area or spreading the infection. This also helps keep the skin dry, as moist environments can encourage fungal growth.
