CompositionDericip Retard 150 Tablet is used to help keep the airways open in people with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It relaxes the muscles around the airways, which makes breathing easier and helps reduce breathlessness, chest tightness, wheezing and coughing over long-term use.
It belongs to a group of medicines called methylxanthine bronchodilators, in a slow-release (retard) form that gives prolonged action. Take it regularly at the same times each day as prescribed. It is for long-term control and is not meant for sudden breathing difficulty.
Avoiding known triggers such as smoke and dust, stopping smoking and keeping up with any prescribed inhalers support better breathing alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any heart, liver or thyroid problems, or seizures, before starting, and about other medicines you take, as several can affect its levels. Report a fast or irregular heartbeat, vomiting or marked restlessness.
