Delcon Drops contains two active ingredients:

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (5 mg): As an α1-adrenergic receptor agonist, phenylephrine binds to and activates α-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa. This causes vasoconstriction which reduces blood flow and fluid exudation thus relieving nasal congestion. It also facilitates sinus secretions drainage which improves breathing through the nose.
Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): An alkylamine antihistamine, chlorpheniramine competes with histamine for H1-receptor sites in various parts of the body like gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels, and respiratory tract. By doing so, it limits the effects of histamine on capillary permeability and bronchial smooth muscle. This action provides relief from allergy symptoms.
