Daflon 1000mg Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing chronic venous insufficiency: This includes symptoms like pain, swelling, heaviness, and cramps in the legs.

• Reducing the risk of recurrent venous thromboembolism after surgery: This condition involves blood clots in the veins.

• Assisting in the management of haemorrhoids: These are swollen veins in your lower rectum and anus.

You should use Daflon 1000mg Tablet as follows:

• Do not take more than recommended without consulting your doctor.

• If you have been advised to take this medicine for a certain duration, it's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor.

• During the course of the medicine, you must follow the diet given by your doctor.

Daflon 1000mg Tablet is taken orally.

Daflon 1000mg Tablet contains micronised purified flavonoid fraction (1000 mg), which consists of 900 mg of diosmin and 100 mg of flavonoids expressed as hesperidin. This active ingredient has several mechanisms of action:

• Venotonic Effect and Microcirculatory Improvement: Diosmin enhances venous tone, reducing venous distensibility and stasis, while hesperidin strengthens capillary resistance and reduces capillary permeability. This improves venous return, reduces oedema, and alleviates symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency.

• Anti-inflammatory and Antioxidant Properties: Diosmin and hesperidin inhibit the synthesis of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and thromboxanes, reducing inflammation and associated symptoms. Additionally, their antioxidant activity protects vascular tissues from oxidative damage, contributing to overall vascular health.
