Arcalion Tablet 10

Arcalion Tablet is used in adults to help manage significant tiredness and lack of energy, and to support alertness and daily functioning.

Uses of Arcalion Tablet are:

• Asthenia: Helps manage extreme tiredness and lack of energy linked to physical or mental fatigue.
• Improved Alertness: Helps reduce fatigue and support mental clarity and concentration.
• Alzheimer's Supportive Therapy: May be used alongside other treatments if prescribed by a doctor.

• Always take the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew it.

• Use a full glass of water to swallow the tablet.

• The medicine should be taken split between breakfast and lunch.

• Usually, it's not advised to take Arcalion Tablet for more than 4 weeks.

Arcalion Tablet is taken orally.

Arcalion Tablet contains Sulbutiamine (200 mg), which acts on the body as follows:

• Thiamine Enhancement: Sulbutiamine increases the levels of thiamine in the brain, more effectively than thiamine itself. Thiamine is a vitamin that is important for nerve function and energy production.

• Cholinergic Effects: It exhibits cholinergic effects, which could potentially improve memory. Cholinergic effects refer to the actions involved in the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which plays a key role in memory and learning.

• Mild Psychostimulant Properties: Sulbutiamine has mild psychostimulant properties. Psychostimulants are substances that can temporarily "speed up" mental or physical functions.

• Anion Channel Activation: It is thought to activate large-conductance anion channels in neuronal membranes. This refers to the opening of channels on nerve cells, which allows negatively charged particles (anions) to pass through, affecting nerve cell activity.

• Store Arcalion Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the product in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• It's important to keep this medication out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you're feeling fatigued or experiencing a lack of energy, consider incorporating nutrient-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains into your diet. These can help bolster your energy levels.

• Regular physical activity can also help manage fatigue. Aim for around 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. This could be as simple as a brisk walk around your neighbourhood. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
