Aldosmin 1000 Mg Tablet is used to treat chronic venous insufficiency and acute attacks of piles (haemorrhoids). It helps relieve leg heaviness, pain, night-time cramps and swelling in the lower limbs, and reduces the discomfort and bleeding associated with swollen veins in the anal region.
It contains a micronised purified flavonoid fraction and belongs to a class of medicines called venotonics. Take it with meals as prescribed by your doctor. A higher initial dose may be advised for a short period during an acute flare of piles.
Elevating your legs when resting, avoiding long periods of standing or sitting, staying physically active and eating a fibre-rich diet with plenty of fluids can help ease straining and support vein health alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any existing digestive conditions or other medicines you take before starting treatment. If your symptoms of piles do not improve within 15 days, or if you notice persistent digestive upset or rectal bleeding, consult your doctor promptly.
