It contains deflazacort, a corticosteroid. It works by reducing inflammation and calming an overactive immune system.
Take it exactly as prescribed, and do not stop it suddenly, as the dose must be reduced gradually under medical guidance.
Tell your doctor about any infection, diabetes or long-term steroid use before starting. Report signs of infection, rapid weight gain or mood changes.
