The Cardace am 5 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage high blood pressure:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This substance is a calcium channel blocker. What that means is that it inhibits the flow of calcium ions into the smooth muscle cells in your blood vessels. By doing this, it helps your blood vessels to relax and widen, which reduces the resistance to blood flow and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood.

• Ramipril (5 mg): This is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by inhibiting an enzyme in your body that converts a substance called angiotensin I into angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a compound that constricts your blood vessels and raises blood pressure. By reducing its formation, ramipril helps your blood vessels to relax and lowers your blood pressure.
