Atovastrin Ez 20/10 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing high cholesterol levels

• Controlling mixed dyslipidaemia

• Reducing risk of heart attack and stroke

• Preventing cardiovascular disease complications

• Lowering LDL cholesterol in the bloodstream

• Decreasing intestinal absorption of dietary cholesterol

• Treating homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia

• Supporting patients with multiple cardiovascular risk factors

• Complementing diet and exercise for cholesterol management

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take it at the same time each day for best results.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Avoid stopping this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

• Continue taking it even if you feel well.

Atovastrin Ez 20/10 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This component inhibits an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a key role in cholesterol production in the liver. By blocking this enzyme, it effectively reduces the amount of cholesterol made by your body.

• Ezetimibe (10 mg): This works by inhibiting the absorption of cholesterol from your small intestine. It specifically blocks the absorption of dietary and biliary cholesterol without affecting the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients your body needs.

• Store Atovastrin Ez 20/10 Tablet 10 at temperatures below 30°C.

• Do not store in bathrooms where humidity levels are high.

• Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and discard any expired tablets properly.

• Follow a heart-healthy diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol—include more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to help manage your cholesterol levels alongside your medicine.

• Engage in regular moderate physical activity (like brisk walking) for at least 30 minutes most days of the week, as exercise helps raise HDL (good cholesterol) and lower LDL (bad cholesterol).
