Atorvastatin (20 Mg) + Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) (1000 Iu)

ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15 is used to manage high cholesterol. It lowers lipid levels in the blood, reduces the risk of heart disease, and promotes cardiovascular health. It is a combination that belongs to a class of medications known as antilipidemic medicines.

In addition to lowering cholesterol, this medicine helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with cardiovascular disease or multiple risk factors. It also helps increase the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) and decrease triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood, while supporting bone health.

Reducing triglyceride levels in the blood
Management of hypercholesterolemia
Prevention of heart attacks
Reducing stroke risk

Managing calcium absorption problems
Supplementing vitamin D in statin therapy

Follow these instructions while taking ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15:

Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.
Continue taking this medicine regularly for it to be most effective.
Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15 is taken orally.

ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15 may have the following common side effects:

Fatigue

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing the use of ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Nausea: Taking ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15 with food can help reduce feelings of sickness.
Stomach pain: Consider taking this medicine in the evening with a meal to minimise stomach discomfort.

ATORSAVE D 20 TABLET 15 contains two active ingredients:

Atorvastatin (20 mg): This component inhibits an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in the liver, which plays a key role in cholesterol production. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin effectively reduces the amount of cholesterol made by your body.
Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) (1000 IU): This fat-soluble vitamin helps your body absorb calcium from the intestines and regulates calcium and phosphate metabolism. It supports bone health and helps prevent bone disorders that might occur during long-term statin therapy.

Pregnancy

Breastfeeding
