Atorsave CV 10 Capsule is used for the following:

• Preventing heart attack and stroke in patients with established cardiovascular disease or those at high risk

• Lowering total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides in patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia

• Increasing HDL cholesterol in patients with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia

• Reducing total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia

• Decreasing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular death in patients with atherosclerosis

• Managing patients with a recent history of myocardial infarction or stroke

• Serving patients with established peripheral arterial disease

Ensure you use Atorsave CV 10 Capsule as follows:

• Swallow one capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, dissolve, or chew the capsule.

• Follow your doctor's advice regarding how long to continue taking this medicine.

Atorsave CV 10 Capsule is taken orally.

Atorsave CV 10 Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This component is a selective, competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme that plays a crucial role in cholesterol production in the body. By inhibiting this enzyme, atorvastatin reduces the production of cholesterol in the liver, leading to a decrease in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, and an increase in HDL cholesterol.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): Clopidogrel is a prodrug that requires transformation in the liver to form its active metabolite. This metabolite works by irreversibly preventing the binding of ADP to the platelet P2Y12 receptor, thus inhibiting platelet activation and aggregation. This action helps prevent blood clot formation, which can lead to heart attacks or strokes.

• Keep Atorsave CV 10 Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 10 to 25 degrees Celsius.

• Protect it from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Always ensure it is out of reach of children.

• Use the capsule before its expiry date.

• Follow a diet low in fats and cholesterol. This will support the action of Atorsave CV 10 Capsule, which works to lower your cholesterol levels.
