Aten-D Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults, particularly when a single medicine is not enough, and to help lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems.

Uses of Aten-D Tablet 10 are:

• High Blood Pressure: Combines two medicines to lower and control blood pressure.
• Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention: Helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke linked to high blood pressure.
• Kidney Protection: Helps prevent kidney problems associated with persistent high blood pressure.

Follow these instructions while taking the Aten-D Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• You can take it with or without food, preferably in the morning.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first, even if you feel better.

• Regular monitoring of your blood pressure is essential while using this medicine.

Aten-D Tablet is taken orally.

The Aten-D Tablet contains two active components that work together:

• Atenolol (50 mg): This ingredient is a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It blocks certain chemicals in your heart and blood vessels, leading to a slower heartbeat and less forceful heart muscle contractions. As a result of this action, your heart has less workload, and your blood pressure decreases.

• Indapamide (2.5 mg): Classified as a thiazide-like diuretic, indapamide functions by increasing the amount of salt and water excreted by your kidneys into your urine. By doing so, it reduces the volume of blood in circulation and relaxes your blood vessels to improve blood flow; both of these actions help lower your blood pressure.

• Store your Aten-D Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Ensure the medication is kept out of the reach of children.

• Always use the Aten-D Tablet before its expiry date.

• Aim to follow a low salt diet. This can help manage high blood pressure, the condition that Aten-D Tablet helps control.
