Aravon Injection is used in people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) to help slow the worsening of symptoms and support daily functioning.

Uses of Aravon Injection are:

• ALS Symptom Management: Helps slow the decline of daily functioning in people with ALS.
• Neuron Protection: Protects motor neurons from damage due to its antioxidant properties.
• Preserving Physical Abilities: Helps preserve muscle strength and abilities such as walking, speaking, breathing and swallowing.

To administer Aravon Injection correctly, follow these steps:

• This medicine is administered via intravenous infusion by a doctor in a clinic or hospital setting.

• The medicine should be diluted with isotonic saline before it's administered.

• Infusion should take place soon after opening and dilution of the medicine.

Aravon Injection is administered intravenously.

Aravon Injection contains Edaravone (1.5 MG), which acts on the body as follows:

• Antioxidant Action: As an antioxidant, Edaravone helps to neutralise harmful substances known as free radicals in your nervous system. This action aids in protecting motor neurons from damage.

• Reduces Oxidative Stress: Edaravone reduces oxidative stress, a condition caused by an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in your body. By decreasing this stress, it helps to protect neurons from damage.

• Crosses Blood Brain Barrier: Being lipophilic, Edaravone can easily cross the blood-brain barrier and act directly on the central nervous system providing relief from ALS symptoms.

• Store Aravon Injection vials at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the vials in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Never leave the vials open; seal them properly after each use.

• Keep Aravon Injection out of reach of children.

• Engage in gentle physical exercises, like walking or stretching, to help maintain muscle strength and mobility. However, consult your doctor for personalised exercise recommendations.
