Arasid 100 MG Injection is used for the following:

• Treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia

• Management of acute lymphocytic leukaemia

• Therapy for certain types of lymphomas

• Control of blood cancer progression

• Part of combination chemotherapy protocols

• Treatment of hematological malignancies

• Management of abnormal white blood cell production

• Controlling cancer cell replication and division

• Prevention of cancer cell DNA synthesis

• Restoring normal bone marrow function

Follow these instructions when Arasid 100 MG Injection is administered:

• This medicine must only be given by a qualified healthcare professional.

• The injection may be administered into a vein, under the skin, or into the spinal fluid.

• Administration occurs exclusively in a hospital or clinical setting.

• Never attempt to administer this medicine yourself.

• The injection site will be determined by your doctor based on your treatment plan.

Arasid 100 MG Injection is administered intravenously, subcutaneously, or intrathecally.

Arasid 100 MG Injection contains cytarabine (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Interference with DNA synthesis: Cytarabine disrupts the formation of genetic material in cancer cells, preventing them from making copies of their DNA needed for multiplication.

• Cell division inhibition: By damaging the genetic material within malignant cells, cytarabine stops abnormal cancer cells from dividing and growing throughout your body.

• Targeting rapidly dividing cells: This medicine specifically acts on fast-growing cells, which include cancer cells that typically multiply more quickly than normal cells.

• Bone marrow function restoration: By slowing tumour growth and reducing the number of abnormal cells, cytarabine helps your bone marrow resume normal blood cell production.

• Keep at controlled temperature, typically between 2°C to 8°C.
