Aquim PF Eye Drops are used to manage keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye disease), keratopathy, recurrent corneal erosions, decreased corneal sensitivity, and post-operative dryness and irritation following eye procedures. The preservative-free (PF) formula makes it suitable for frequent use and sensitive eyes.
It contains sodium hyaluronate 0.18%, a viscoelastic ocular lubricant that closely resembles the natural mucin layer of the tear film. The preservative-free formulation eliminates the risk of preservative-related toxicity, making it particularly suitable for patients with sensitive eyes, frequent dosing needs, or contact lens wear.
Instil the drops as directed into the affected eye or eyes. As this is a preservative-free preparation, use each unit-dose vial for a single application and discard after use. Remove contact lenses before use and reinsert after a few minutes.
Mild stinging, temporary blurred vision, or watery eyes after instillation are common and short-lived. Contact your doctor if eye discomfort worsens, redness increases significantly, or you develop a discharge from the eye.
