AWARENE T PF EYE DROPS 5ML are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure) in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Controlling eye pressure helps protect the optic nerve and may help reduce the risk of permanent vision loss.
It is a combination of two glaucoma medicines that reduce intraocular pressure through different mechanisms. Use the drops exactly as prescribed. After applying, press gently on the inner corner of the eye and close it gently for about one minute to reduce the amount absorbed into the body.
Attending all eye clinic follow-up appointments for regular eye pressure monitoring is important. Long-term use may gradually change the colour of the iris or cause changes in eyelash growth; discuss these with your ophthalmologist.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any breathing problems (such as asthma), heart conditions, or a slow heart rate, as the timolol component is a beta-blocker absorbed through the eye. Remove contact lenses before applying and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
