Ampiclox Capsule is used to treat bacterial infections in various body tissues and to prevent bacterial complications following surgery.

Uses of Ampiclox Capsule are:

• Bacterial Infections: Treats infections of the chest, lungs, throat, ear, urinary tract, and skin.
• Bone and Soft Tissue Infections: Manages deep bacterial infections in muscles, joints, and bones.
• Surgical Infection Prevention: Helps prevent bacterial contamination and infection during and after surgical procedures.

Ampiclox Capsule should be taken following these guidelines:

Ampiclox Capsule is taken orally.

Ampiclox Capsule contain two active ingredients:

• Ampicillin (250 mg): This component works by binding to and inactivating certain enzymes in your body called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). These proteins are essential for creating peptidoglycan – a key part of the bacterial cell wall structure. By disrupting this process, ampicillin weakens the cell wall.
• Cloxacillin (250 mg): Cloxacillin acts as a guard for ampicillin by resisting the breakdown caused by penicillinase enzymes that some bacteria produce. This resistance extends the effectiveness of ampicillin even further.

Together, these components work synergistically to weaken the cell wall leading to lysis – or dissolution – causing susceptible bacteria to die off, thereby effectively managing the infection.

• To help manage respiratory tract infections like bronchitis and pneumonia, ensure you or your child maintain adequate hydration. Drinking warm fluids like soups can provide relief from symptoms.
• For skin infections, maintain good hygiene practices such as washing hands regularly to prevent the spread of infection. Regular cleaning of wounds also aids in preventing skin and soft tissue infections.
