CompositionAMLOVAS 2.5 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent the chest pain of stable and vasospastic angina in adults, including in coronary artery disease. It contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker.
Amlodipine works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow to the heart, helping to prevent and relieve angina while reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke over time.
Take this tablet daily at the same time each day, with or without food, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, or if you notice significant swelling of the ankles or feet. Avoid grapefruit juice, which can increase levels of this medicine in the blood.
