Amicline Plus Tablet is used for managing intestinal and hepatic amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and a range of anaerobic bacterial infections like intra-abdominal sepsis, gynecologic infections, skin/soft tissue infections, and periodontal disease. It provides broad-spectrum action against protozoal and anaerobic bacterial pathogens.

Here's how you should take Amicline Plus Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water after your meals. Don't crush or chew it.

Amicline Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Amicline Plus Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Diloxanide Furoate (375 mg): Primarily acting in the bowel lumen, diloxanide furoate inhibits the trophozoites of Entamoeba histolytica, which causes amoebiasis. This action helps limit the spread of the infection.

• Ornidazole (250 mg): This component belongs to a class called nitroimidazole derivatives with antiprotozoal and antibacterial properties. After entering microorganisms, it is converted into reactive intermediates that interrupt DNA and inhibit nucleic acid synthesis, causing cell death. Ornidazole is effective against protozoa like Trichomonas and Giardia, as well as anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroides and Clostridium.

Together, these components help manage amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and anaerobic bacterial infections effectively.
