CompositionAmicline Plus Tablet is used primarily to manage amoebiasis, a parasitic infection of the intestines. It combines ornidazole, an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent, with diloxanide furoate, a luminal amoebicide.
Ornidazole kills amoebae and susceptible anaerobic bacteria that have invaded the tissue, while diloxanide furoate clears amoebae remaining within the gut lumen, together giving more complete treatment of both active and carrier states of amoebic infection.
Take this tablet as your doctor prescribes, generally with food, and complete the full course even if you feel better early, to fully clear the infection.
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours afterwards, as this combination can cause a serious reaction. Tell your doctor if you have a blood disorder or liver disease, and report any numbness or tingling in the hands or feet.
