Ambristar 5 Tablet is used to manage pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in adults, relaxing the blood vessels in the lungs to improve exercise capacity, ease breathing and slow disease progression.

Uses of Ambristar 5 Tablet are:

• Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension: Helps lower blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs.
• Exercise Capacity: Helps improve the ability to carry out daily activities.
• Disease Progression: Helps slow the worsening of PAH.

Here's how you should take Ambristar 5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.
• Follow your doctor's instructions for dosage and frequency. Do not alter the prescribed dose on your own.
• Remember, it's important not to discontinue this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Ambristar 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Ambristar 5 Tablet contains Ambrisentan (5 mg). This ingredient works in the body as follows:

• Blockage of Endothelin Action: Ambrisentan works by preventing the action of endothelin, a substance that narrows the blood vessels and increases blood pressure in the lungs.
• Reduction of Pulmonary Arterial Pressure: By blocking the action of endothelin, Ambrisentan effectively relaxes and widens the blood vessels, reducing the pressure in the pulmonary arteries.

• Ambristar 5 Tablet should be stored in a cool and dry place, ideally at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
• Avoid exposing the medicine to excessive light, heat, or moisture.
• Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach of children.
• Check the expiry date on the pack, and do not use any tablets that are past this date.

• Since pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is managed by Ambristar 5 Tablet, it's beneficial to maintain a low-sodium diet. Excessive salt can raise blood pressure and worsen your condition.
• Regular, moderate physical activity, tailored to your ability and comfort level, can help manage PAH symptoms. However, consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
