Alrista Plus Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing diabetic peripheral neuropathy

• Enhancing quality of life in patients with diabetic neuropathy

Follow these instructions while taking Alrista Plus Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for best results.

Alrista Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Alrista Plus Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Epalrestat (150 mg): This component is an aldose reductase inhibitor that blocks the enzyme aldose reductase in your body. This enzyme normally converts excess glucose to sorbitol, which can accumulate in nerve cells and cause damage. By inhibiting this process, epalrestat prevents sorbitol buildup and protects your nerves from further damage.

• Methylcobalamin (1.5 mg): As an active form of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy nerve function. It helps in the formation of myelin, the protective covering around nerve fibres that enables proper nerve signal transmission. It also supports the repair of damaged nerves and may reduce neuropathic pain through its regenerative properties.
