Almox-500 Capsule is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, urinary tract, skin, ear, nose, throat, and teeth. It is also used in the treatment of typhoid fever and, in combination with other medicines, for H. pylori-associated stomach ulcers. It contains amoxicillin, which kills the bacteria responsible for the infection.
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you start feeling better before it is finished. Stopping early can allow the bacteria to return and make the infection harder to treat. The capsule can be taken with or without food. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment.
Do not use leftover antibiotics or share them with others. Antibiotics should only be used for confirmed or strongly suspected bacterial infections to help prevent antibiotic resistance.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a penicillin or cephalosporin allergy, kidney problems, or glandular fever, as amoxicillin is not suitable in some of these cases. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking to avoid interactions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use. If you develop a severe rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face during treatment, seek medical attention immediately.
